Saturday, October 7,2017

The Intermezzo is the short edition of La Côte Flûte Festival. It takes place in the years between two regular editions of the four days international edition of the festival.

For the 2017 edition, the choice of the programming is turned towards education and youth, through the flute playing in a flute choir.

“Les Vents Blancs“ – the flute choir of the Lake Geneva region and the official flute choir of the festival – will join three invited flute choirs, one from the Côte d’Azur, the other from Catalonia and the third from Switzerland, to give a colourful concert, mixing artist and generations.

And to create the meeting between generations, Peter-Lukas Graf, the well known Swiss flute player, is the special guest. He will give a masterclass in the morning, and will participate as a soloist to the evening concert.

A conference will also take place, that will give a tribute to Peter-Lukas Graf. Denis Verroust, president of the Association Jean-Pierre Rampal will present the reedition of some of his recordings. The presentation will illustrated by images, sound extracts, and will have the participation of flutists who will perform to pay a tribute to him.

During this day, the programming of the 2018 festival (4-7 October 2018) will be presented.
