Programme: Thea Musgrave – Narcissus: this is a classic work for flute and electronics from one of the leading British female composers. Davor Vincze – new work: this new work for Kingma System bass flute and electronics will be premiered in London in September 2015. Sungji Hong – Shine: this exciting work for flute and electronics was premiered in April 2015 and commissioned with funds from New Music USA. Sungji Hong is a Korean composer currently living in the USA. Michael Oliva – Apparition and Release: this work for Kingma System alto flute and electronics has become one of the staples of rarescale’s repertoire, and is an excellent example of how the expressive range of the alto flute can be used in conjunction with electronics.
