Francesca Carta, piano
Francesca Carta was born in Cagliari in Sardinia, and started her muscial studies in her city, with a piano diploma in 1985 with Rosabianca Rachel. She has studied at the “Université Musicale International” of Paris, with Roger Murano, at the Academy of high performance Lorenzo Perosi, with Aldo Ciccolini.
She is regularly invited since many years as accompanying pianist for masterclasses and international courses, in Italy, Austria, Romania, Croatia, Switzerland, etc.
She is also an active concert pianist and has played at numerous festival throughout Europe. She has collaborated with many soloists, including Aurèle Nicole, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Maxence Larrieu, Alain Marion, Emmanuel Pahud, Bruno Pasques, Silvia Careddu, Pierre-Yves Artaud, Shigenori Kudo, etc..
She has recorded Cds under labels of “L’Académie Musicale Villecroze”, Riverberi Sonori, Traversières.
She has tought at the conservatory L. Canepa di Sassari and is now at the conservatory GP da Palestrina in Cagliari. She has worked as “Maestro collaboratore” at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, and is tutor of the “Hochschule für Musik” in Zürich. She was also a teacher at the “Accademia Italiana del Flauto” in Rome and was from 1993 to 2002 accompanist at the “Conservatoire National de Paris” for the class of Pierre-Yves Artaud. And she has collaborated with many Conservatories throughout Europe.
