website

The show presented by Jikkenkobo.ch stages 4 flautists who perform modern Western and Japanese music even including a calligrapher working closely with the musicians, actually performing his art on stage in the Kanji’s show.

This group backs up the extraordinary adventure which was The Transdisciplinary Workshop, in Japanese the Jikken  Kôbô, which was developed in Japan in the fifties.

In this multifaceted workshop coexisted different worlds, inspired from Japanese culture as well as open mindededness, mixed with the excitement of group creativity.
The Manga Universe, traditional and modern, so finds it’s way into the costumes which mix with the others respectively, Les Cosplay, Les Yukatas and every day clothing.
The flute, more than any other instrument, brings a brings a breath of wind and soul, it embodies not only the universal traditional sense of music but also that of the avant garde .

Jikkenkobo.ch explores the traditional values of our modern world and draws from the rich wealth that can offer a collection of artists, like a laboratory, while watching over and including all disciplines, the artistic and intellectual changes, welcoming propositions and confrontational ideas with a spirit of rivalry and independence.
Finally, this group gives a performance of breathing and silence , based on the time and sonority, incessantly flirting with limits and possibility.

The experimental thought of the Nippon Workshop is the driving force of the show, the oriental-occidental attraction is the anchor and the cultural opening of art and humanity are the motor.
