Pamela Stahel, piccolo

Pamela Stahel spent her youth in the Williamsport area. After graduation from Montoursville H.S. Pamela went on to study music performance with Bernard Z.Goldberg, Soloflutist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, at Duquesne University. Studies with William Hebert, Julius Baker as well as masterclasses with Marcel Moyse furthered her education.
Her first orchestral experience included engagements with various American orchestras. The development of a European career began in Zurich where she intensified both solo and orchestral studies with Andre Jaunet. Her engagement with the Philharmonia Zurich; the Zurich Opera Orchestra, started in 1990. A passionate chamber musician, Ms. Stahel performs with various ensembles. Previously Ms.Stahel taught at the Music Conservatory of Lucerne. She is devoted to furthering young musicians and presently teaches a piccolo and chamber music class at the Zurich University of the Arts.
