Born in 1973 in Zurich, Joel Marosi is solo cellist of l’Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne since 2005. He studied cello with Nancy Chumachenco and Heinrich Schiff and is a founding member of the Zürcher Klaviertrio, which performs regularly on numerous international stages.

Trio de Jean Françaix: “We have played the Jean Françaix Trio several times and are convinced that it merits its place in the “standard” repertory of this type of ensemble. It is rich in expression, full of humour and irony, the scherzo in 5/8 with 3/4, 6/8 or 5/4 superimposed is a real brainteaser in rehearsal and a great pleasure in concert. (You could call it a drunken waltz…!), the slow movement is generous and melancholic, full of magnificent colours in the true tradition of French music.” Sarah Rumer
