A pedagogical and socio-cultural project for the year 2021-2022

Plunged into the pandemic crisis, the cultural institution of La Côte Flûte Festival has led a in-depth thinking about its mission. This organisation has a dual mission: a culture maker and a participant to the music education of the young generation. This education and youth programme, established since 2014, is characterized by:

  • The programming of activities for children during each festival edition, under the form of a flute choir workshop and shows for children.
  • The creation of flute choirs with an educational mission, active throughout the year:
    • Les Vents Blancs, for young players and amateur adults
    • Les Piccolo, for children from 6 to 12
  • The competition Flûte Gam(m)es for children and teenagers
  • The organizing of a pedagogical edition of La Côte Flûte Festival every 3 years.
  • The organizing of a high level academy every 3 years.

This year 2021, troubled by the crisis, considers the creation of a large project to complete this existing pedagogical offer. Aware that the number of families in need are increasing, the festival wishes to offer to 30 children the opportunity to have a free musical education during one year. This project contributes to the socio-cultural insertion of 30 families.
