Conditions
Submissions

Projects can be submitted from 1 January 2015 to 15 July 2015, midnight.  Only submissions made on-line will be taken into account (3 page form to be found on www.flutefestival.ch).
Projects
La Côte Flute Festival is a flute convention as well as a festival.  The event is aimed at flautists as well as the audience of the region of La Côte. Selected projects have to match these two criteria to interest flute professionals and the general public alike.
The programme organisers of La Côte Flute Festival are seeking to present varied projects in style and formation (from solo to orchestra, chamber music with a variety of instruments, from baroque to contemporary, jazz, alternative and contemporary creations).
Flautists may not participate in more than two successive Festival editions except on specific invitation by the organisers.  If participating a second time, the project must be different from that of the first, both in style and instrumentation.
Composers can not be commissioned for two successive Festival editions.
Flautists
All projects will be studied carefully whether they are presenting traditional or innovative repertoire.  Your project will be retained if it fits into the logic of the programme and according to the number of slots available on the programme plan.  Approximately 40 projects are foreseen  (concerts, conferences, masterclasses and workshops).
Flautists are invited to browse composers’  new music pages to include pieces in their projects. A submission can be made and a new piece chosen from these pages at a later date. Pieces performed in the previous Festival are shown on this lis.
Composers
Composers writing for flute can submit their already-existing work or a new piece.  Three composers will be retained for new works.
Already existing pieces chosen by the festival will be listed on the official Festival website for use by invited artists.  The Festival cannot guarantee that the listed repertoire will be performed.
These pieces will be available on the website upon receipt in order to allow flautists to integrate them into their submitted project. The festival can not guarantee that the listed pieces will be programed.
The chosen pieces will be listed online as soon as they are approved.
Composers wishing to submit a project in creation must send a precise description of the new piece, a first brief recording (sample or real instruments) and some audio examples of pieces they have already composed.
