Michel Lavignolle studied at the National Conservatory of Paris in the class of Alain Marion. He was awarded first prize after his final certificate and the following year he received his Jean Pierre Rampal Honours Diploma. Professor of flute at the Conservatory of Lyon, he has always been attracted by the repertory of chamber music. With Jean Louis Bergerard he created in 1993 Les Temps Modernes and in 2002 the duo Daphnis with Laure Zehmann, pianist. He has performed in many festivals in Europe and in Asia.
Laure Zehmann, piano
After studying at the National Conservatory of the Lyon Region and at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique of Geneva, with her Professional Diploma in piano and Certificate of Accompanist, Laure Zehmann divides her time between teaching in the Lyon Conservatory, accompanying at the CNSM in Lyon with Nicole Corti and her career as chamber musician. Prize-winner of Sonata Competitions of Vierzon and of French Music of Guérande, she completes the duo Daphnis with Michel Lavignolle.

The composition path taken by Jean-Marc Jouve has been marked out by determining meetings with Daniel Meier, Guy Reibel, Betsy Jolas, Sofia Goubaïdoulina…
All his creations centre on intimate relationships structurally uniting music and poetry. The poetic aspects of his compositions use resources of ‘la pensée sérielle’ along with internal exploration of sound.
